THUD 302(b) Sign-On Letter
After a deep cut to the Subcommittee on Transportation, Housing and Urban Development, and Related Agencies (THUD) 302(b) allocation in FY12, numerous organizations representing the nonprofit, private enterprises and governmental sectors realized that is necessary for Congress to increase the THUD 302(b) allocation in order to achieve the goals of the THUD funded agencies. Last year, more than 2,400 organizations representing every state signed the FY14 letter to Congress.
This letter to House and Senate Appropriators calls for an increase to the THUD 302(b) allocation in FY15 at “the highest possible level” to sustain the critical work of these agencies and ensure that the benefits seen in local communities are not just continued but are increased in FY15.
This letter was drafted by supporters of the programs administered by the Departments of Transportation (DOT) and Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
